No Matching IV Combination? Fix Pokémon GO IV Inputs (CP/HP/Stardust)
If an IV calculator says “no match”, it’s usually an input mismatch. Here’s what to check—and how to still get useful estimates.
Why “no match” happens
An IV result is only possible when Pokémon + form/type + level are consistent with the numbers you entered.
Common causes:
- Wrong Pokémon selected (or wrong form / evolution)
- Wrong type selected (Normal vs Shadow vs Purified)
- Stardust cost doesn’t match the Pokémon’s level (powered up, or misread)
- Typos in CP or HP (one digit off is enough)
A quick checklist
- Re-check the Pokémon you selected
- Confirm whether it’s Shadow / Purified
- Verify the Stardust power-up cost shown in-game (not total stardust you own)
- Enter CP/HP exactly as shown on the Pokémon detail screen
Still useful even without exact matches
Use this tool: Pokémon GO IV Calculator
If there’s no exact match, it shows the closest candidates. This is helpful to:
- spot which number is likely wrong
- estimate a tight IV range anyway
